Peach tart is back from 4 July

There are scents that are synonymous with summer. The ripe peach, sun-kissed, juicy and delicious. That moment when July begins, when the market stalls take on new colours, when the craving for a refreshing dessert takes precedence over everything else.

Our peach tart will be available again from 4 July.

A peach tart that waits until the fruit is ripe

Le Pain d’Antan’s peach tart follows the fruit, not the other way round: that’s what makes it so special and ensures we look forward to it every year.

From 4 July, our bakers will fill a delicious shortcrust pastry with a mixture of eggs and almonds, and fresh peaches that are carefully arranged, slice by slice. Baking does the rest: the peaches release their flavours, the edges of the pastry turn golden brown, and what emerges from the oven has that quintessential summery flavour we’ve missed so much.

Peach tart or peach tartlet? Two sizes to suit everyone’s tastes

The peach tart is perfect for treating six to eight people gathered around a table on the terrace. It’s the dish to share, the one you bring out after a summer meal, the one that’s sure to delight everyone.

The tartlet, on the other hand, is intended as a single-serving portion: generous without being excessive. Perfect for a quick lunch or a summer snack in July.

Eight weeks to enjoy it… and then it’s over!

Our peach tarts are available from 4 July to 30 August. Not because we’ve set a date on a marketing calendar, but simply because good peaches don’t grow in September.
