Chocolate, marzipan and speculoos: discover our St Nicholas treats!
On the evening of 5 December, the children’s shoes are placed in front of the open fire. A carrot for the donkey, and sometimes a glass of milk. And when they wake up, the children gaze in wonder at the treats that St Nicholas has left behind.
Our St Nicholas chocolates, marzipan and speculaas will be available in all our shops from Saturday 7 November. Don’t miss out on them to make 6 December an unforgettable moment.
The chocolate Saint Nicholas, in three sizes
The timeless chocolate Saint Nicholas, with his mitre and staff, moulded as a hollow shell. He is available in white, milk or dark chocolate.
The small 10 cm model fits effortlessly into a child’s shoe. The medium-sized 15 cm version looks impressive on the windowsill. And the large 20 cm version is sure to make an impression on the whole table when everyone wakes up.
For those who prefer racing cars or unicorns
Not all children dream of a chocolate St Nicholas. Some want a car.
Ours is available in two colours: gold for milk chocolate, red for dark chocolate. It fits perfectly next to the St Nicholas figure without taking up too much space.
And for unicorn fans, there’s this pink white-chocolate unicorn. Deliciously melt-in-the-mouth, a real treat. If there’s a little brother and sister at home, the car and the unicorn will settle more than a few squabbles.
The marzipan corner
For some, St Nicholas without marzipan isn’t St Nicholas at all.
First of all, the marzipan potatoes. Tiny balls rolled in cocoa powder until they look just like real potatoes. They’re sold in 100 g bags and you can eat them in a single bite.
The Sinterklaas figure made of almond marzipan, complete with his mitre, staff and coloured beard. He’s a hit with those who prefer almonds to chocolate, and goes down a treat with a cup of coffee.
The marzipan fruit stick consists of five small, colourful fruits in a row: apple, strawberry, lemon, mandarin and pear. This is often given as a gift to grandparents.
Our Sinterklaas speculaas biscuits
Butter, brown caster sugar and nine spices, from cinnamon to cardamom. We also add a hint of coffee to the dough, which gives it that deep flavour.
The 5-piece bag fits perfectly into a shoe. The 10-piece bag is perfect for sharing with the whole family, dipped in coffee on a Sunday.
A tip for hiding them before the big night
Don’t put your chocolates in the fridge. The cold will make the surface turn white. A cupboard with a temperature between 15 and 18 °C, in a dry place and away from a radiator, is more than enough. And that’s also the best hiding place.
Available exclusively in-store from 7 November
