PRIVACY POLICY & GDPR

THE GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) entered into force on 25 May 2018. This privacy policy has been updated to reflect your new and improved rights and to modify the way we process your personal data.

You should read this privacy policy in full so that you understand properly the basis on which we collect your personal data, how we use them, where we store them and the parties to whom we disclose them. Other privacy policies may also apply when we process your personal data in another context. For example, our cookie policy applies when you use our website.

Protection of privacy

We are committed to protecting your personal data and your right to privacy. We will always keep your personal data in a safe place and comply with current data protection laws.

Your rights

In terms of personal data, the law gives you a number of rights. You can obtain further information and advice about your rights from the data protection authority in your country.

1/Right to information

You have the right to receive clear, transparent and understandable information about our use of your data and about your rights. This is why we are bringing the information in this Policy to your attention.

2/Right of access

You have the right of access to your personal data (if we use them) and to a certain amount of other information (of the same type as that provided in this Policy).

This is to ensure that you are informed that we are using your personal data and can verify that we are doing so in compliance with data protection law.

3/Right of rectification

You are entitled to ask for your personal data be corrected if they turn out to be inaccurate or incomplete.

4/Right of deletion

Also known as the ‘right to be forgotten’, this right allows you to request the deletion or erasure of your personal data when there is no longer any compelling reason for us to continue to use them. This right of deletion is not general; there are exceptions to it.

5/Right to restriction of use

You have certain rights allowing you to block or suspend any further use of your personal data. When the use of your data has been restricted, we may continue to store them, but may no longer use them. We keep a list of people who have asked for the use of their personal data be blocked, to ensure that this restriction is complied with in the future.

6/Right to data portability

You have the right to obtain your personal data and have them reused on your own behalf in the context of various services. For example, if you decide to use a new service provider, this right makes it easy for you to have your data moved, copied or transferred between our IT systems and those of the new service provider without affecting their usability.

7/Right to object to data processing

You have the right to object to processing for direct marketing purposes (which we only do with your consent) and to any use we make in our own legitimate interest.

8/Right of complaint

You have the right to make a complaint to the data protection authority in your country about the way we manage or process your personal data.

9/Right to withdraw consent

If you have given your consent to our processing your personal data in a particular way, you may revoke this consent at any time (although this withdrawal does not have retroactive effect on any use we have made of your data between when you gave your consent and when you withdrew it). This right of withdrawal extends to the use of your personal data for marketing purposes.
